How to configure and diagnose Dante audio patching

# Opening Dante Controller

All production machines should have Dante Controller installed and present in the dock. Open it with the green checkmark icon ![Dante Controller Icon](https://wiki.bensongreathall.com/uploads/images/gallery/2025-01/scaled-1680-/screen-shot-2025-01-27-at-4-50-51-pm.png) and wait for the devices to populate in the window.

# Presets

Quickly switching between different pre-defined configurations.

If you don't see this list, go to finder and click on the "Documents" shared drive ![Screen Shot 2025-01-27 at 4.58.11 PM.png](https://wiki.bensongreathall.com/uploads/images/gallery/2025-01/scaled-1680-/screen-shot-2025-01-27-at-4-58-11-pm.png) to connect to it, then try loading the preset in Dante Controller again.

The presets generally apply as following:

- M32\_FOH\_Passthrough: Vespers, admissions, or any other event without streaming or recording.
- M32\_Live: Chapel, or any other event we produce a separate broadcast mix on the M32
- VSC\_Broadcast\_Mac: Will route multitrack recording to the M32 for practice
- MusicDeptStreaming: Any event where Westmark (Doug &amp; Friends) are doing stream audio. Will pass their audio to the web stream.
- MusicRecitalRecording: For recitals
